Browser-first, with clear choices
Any2Any.Pics is designed to minimize the transfer and collection of image data. Whenever possible, your image is processed locally in your browser. Conversions that require server processing are clearly identified before the file is uploaded.
Currently, the implemented converters use local browser processing. Server conversion is not currently offered; this policy also describes the conditions that apply if it is introduced.
Local image processing
For conversions supported locally, your browser decodes, transforms and encodes the source image on your device. The source file does not need to be uploaded to Any2Any.Pics for that conversion. The converted result is produced locally for download. Copies you choose to save are managed by you and your browser.
When server processing is required
Some formats or files may require server-side processing. If that processing becomes available, we will disclose it before upload and let you decide whether to proceed. A file must not silently switch from local to server processing.
For a server-processed conversion, the uploaded file and information necessary to carry out the request may be processed to provide and protect that service. Retention must be limited to what is necessary, rather than permanent image storage. The actual providers, retention arrangements and relevant controls will be explained before this processing is enabled; no fixed deletion interval is currently promised.
Image metadata
Images can contain EXIF data, camera or device information, capture date and time, orientation, colour profiles, comments or descriptions, and GPS/location information. Metadata may be read or transformed where necessary to interpret and convert an image.
The current converter discards original metadata instead of preserving it in the output. Rendering may use some source information, such as orientation or a colour profile; this does not mean it is copied into the result. Any future metadata controls will be described when available. Do not rely on conversion as a guarantee that every sensitive detail has been removed.
Current processing limits
Browser-based conversions currently accept source files up to 32 MB. Additional limits, including lower limits for some formats, may apply to very large images or memory-intensive processing. These are current service limits and may change over time.
Website and infrastructure data
Local image conversion does not mean that the website has no network communication. Your browser requests HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WebAssembly/codecs, fonts and other assets, and receives infrastructure or security responses. Conversion code and codec assets are currently served from the site's own origin.
We use Cloudflare for website delivery and security. It may receive normal technical request information, including IP address, request metadata, browser/user-agent information and security-related data. Serving the website does not by itself give Cloudflare the image files processed locally in your browser.
Browser storage and cookies
The application currently does not use localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB to retain your images or preferences, and it does not set application advertising or analytics cookies. Selected files, results and settings are held for the active conversion rather than saved as an application history. Your browser may cache website resources and store files you download. Infrastructure may use strictly necessary security cookies depending on its configuration.
Contact messages
If you email us or use the contact form when available, we process your email address, message, information you choose to include and normal delivery/security data to handle and respond to your request. The form uses a Cloudflare Worker with validation, a honeypot and rate limiting based on a hashed network address to help prevent abuse. When email delivery is configured, Resend sends the notification to our contact mailbox. The application does not store form messages in a database or accept image attachments.
Include only information needed for your request. Please do not send image files or sensitive personal information unless necessary. You can contact us about privacy or legal matters using the same address.
Advertising, measurement and consent
Any2Any.Pics is intended to be advertising-supported. Currently, the application contains advertising-space reservations but no active advertising SDK, Google advertising tags, analytics integration or advertising requests. No advertising consent platform is currently activated because those advertising integrations are not running.
If advertising is enabled, Google or other named partners may use cookies, local identifiers, IP addresses, device information, approximate location and interaction data for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, frequency limiting and, only where permitted, personalization. Providers and relevant processing will be disclosed when enabled. This is a description of future advertising processing, not a claim that it currently occurs.
Before serving Google advertising where required in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we will implement a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Consent-dependent storage or processing will wait for valid consent. Available controls will let you review and withdraw choices. Applicable regional rights concerning targeted advertising or data disclosures will also be explained before that processing begins.
Purposes and legal grounds
Where the GDPR applies, website delivery, security, abuse prevention and ordinary enquiries rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service and responding to users, balanced against your rights. Processing necessary to provide a requested contractual service or take steps at your request may rely on that necessity. Required records may be kept to comply with legal obligations. Processing that requires consent, including applicable advertising uses, will rely on that consent rather than treating use of the website as consent.
Recipients and service providers
Technical website data may be processed by hosting and security providers such as Cloudflare; correspondence by the providers needed to operate email. Access is limited to purposes connected with those services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. A future conversion provider will be identified before upload; local processing does not itself transfer your image to these recipients.
International processing
Infrastructure and email providers may process technical data or correspondence in countries outside your own. Where EEA personal data is transferred internationally, applicable safeguards are required, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses where appropriate. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. This concerns infrastructure or correspondence, not a claim that locally converted images are uploaded abroad.
Retention
We retain correspondence and technical records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose: answering requests, appropriate follow-up, security, required record-keeping and legal obligations or claims. The need and duration depend on the record and applicable law. Local conversion is not an operator-hosted image archive. If server conversion is introduced, its file-retention arrangements will be disclosed before processing.
Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law and the processing involved, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing before withdrawal. Send privacy requests to contact@any2any.page; we may need proportionate information to identify you and handle the request. We cannot retrieve local image files that were not provided to us. Visitors outside the EU, including the United States, may have rights under their own applicable laws.
Where applicable, you may complain to a competent data-protection authority, including the Slovak authority or the authority in your place of habitual residence, work or the alleged infringement.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and its last-updated date are published here. Material new processing, including server conversion or advertising, will be explained before it begins; publication of a policy change is not a substitute for consent where consent is required.
